Overview

The AI Risk Management Framework (AI RMF) is a tool designed to enhance the trustworthiness of AI systems and promote responsible development, deployment, and usage of AI. It is practical, adaptable to changing AI technology, and can be implemented by organizations of varying capacities. The framework and its resources will be regularly updated based on technological advancements, international standards, and community feedback. NIST will align the AI RMF with international standards and practices and future updates will be informed by lessons learned from its implementation.
